Andrew graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in International Economics and Market, but has worked in the local Lexington area for the last six years in the information technology field for a variety of businesses. Andrew joined the Community Ventures team in September of 2018 and currently works on the mPact Pro team as the Customer Support Lead. In his free time, he enjoys reading, spending time with his wife, and playing board games.

Prior to joining Community Ventures, Barb was a Controller for a senior living community in Florida. She also has over 24 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry and has worked in all aspects of the lending process. Her past experiences and knowledge have brought her back to this industry. Her fondest memories are of helping first-time homebuyers realize their dream of homeownership. It is her passion to help people in whatever capacity she can provide. In her spare time she enjoys crocheting hats for newborn babies and donating them to a local hospital but, most of all, she loves spending time with her family and their newest addition, a granddaughter, born in 2018. She and her husband have been married for 45 years and have 2 daughters.

Brad comes to the eHome team with 10+ years of customer service experience from a financial and mortgage background. The joy he gets from helping others and his love of all things technical and computer related drives him to excel in his role. When he finds spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son and writing everything from song lyrics to children’s books.

Clint is a Business Development Specialist specializing in SBA Micro-Loans up to $50,000. His primary function is to work with new start-up companies and to help guide those individuals to a path of success.

Prior to joining Community Ventures, Clint served as Vice-President of Commercial Lending working on various property types (hotels, multi-family, retail centers, mobile home parks, new developments, single-family rentals, etc.) ranging from $600K to $69MM, and he also structured Syndications and Joint Ventures. Clint has experience in working with all loan types; agency (Fannie, Freddie, HUD), construction, secondary, and portfolio.

Clint came to Community Ventures (CV) from an introduction thru a friend, Dan Heffernan, a CV Division President who he knew over 10-years. After hearing Dan speak about how much he loves working at CV, Clint knew he wanted to be part of the team.

In his free time, Clint enjoys spending time with his two sons, whether at the beach, at a Reds game, at the neighborhood pool, or just hanging out and having fun as a family. Clint is also very active in the martial arts, having practice TaeKwonDo for 42 years, and with experience in Judo, Aikido and Iaido. Clint is also an active real estate investor.

Before coming to Chef Space, Darrelldrika spent several years as a homemaker, taking care of her three children. Now that her kids are older, she has decided to return to the work force. She now serves Chef Space in Member Services, by helping members out when they need assistance, and keeping Chef Space clean. She most enjoys associating with the current members, talking to them and helping them to progress. In her free time, she likes to shop and cook, and spending time with her kids, who are involved with modeling, basketball, and community engagement.

Danielle Comes to Community Ventures with over 14 years in the customer service and tourism industry. She is excited to work for an organization that gives back to the community and helps people every day. In her free time, you can find her at the softball field with her daughter. She also enjoys attending concerts, music festivals, and community events.

Debbie is a driving force in real-estate closings for Community Ventures. She is a problem solver for her clients. Helping families realize their dream of buying a home is her passion. Knowing that borrowers get to purchase a home, especially when they thought they would never own one, is a source of joy for her.

Community Ventures mission statement is the reason she chose to work for this company. As a Bilingual Housing Development Specialist, Elizabeth will have the opportunity to teach clients how to reduce their debt, improve their credit score, provide homeownership counseling, assist with financial packages, analyze data to determine financial solutions so they can achieve their American Dream of being a home and/or business owner. Her desire is to educate and provide resources to help individuals gain knowledge to reach future goals. As a Bilingual Specialist, she has the opportunity to translate to communities that have language barriers so they can be a part of the American Dream. Before CV, Elizabeth worked as an LPN. What she loves about being a nurse is being a part of a patient’s difficult times and being a witness to their transformation during the healing process.

In her free time, she loves to decorate, clean, cook, and go on travel adventures with her family.

An Eastern Kentucky University graduate born inKentucky but raised in Venezuela, S.A whose native language is Spanish, Francia has worked with the Hispanic community as an interpreter/translator for 15 plus years in the manufacturing business. Francia joined CV to pursue her passion in helping the Hispanic community in making their dreams come true in purchasing their first home and teaching the importance of budgeting, good credit and homeownership. Francia is married and has 3 children, loves photography and enjoys volunteering at her local church.

Garry is VP of Business Development with the eHome America division of Community Ventures. He says, “helping individuals and families realize their dream of homeownership, owning their own business or improving their financial wellbeing is extremely rewarding and is the high point of my career.” Outside of work Garry likes working with his hands and is an aspiring blacksmith, is proficient in leather crafting and loves hitting the open road on his Harley Davidson motorcycle whenever he gets an opportunity.

Jacinta has over 20 years in the Financial Industry and has worked in all aspects of the mortgage finance business. She chose to come to Community Ventures because she wants to give back to those who are trying to better themselves. In her free time, Jacinta enjoys baking and reading a good book.

Helping others realize that they can become a homeowner is what makes Jackie a passionate Community Ventures team member. She finds sharing moments of joy and satisfaction with her clients to be very humbling. Becoming a grandmother has made a big difference in Jackie’s life, and she enjoys spending time with her grandsons.

Jeff Poe is very passionate about helping people attain their dream of owning an affordable and safe home. He has spent his career working in the private sector and government agencies doing just that. He was drawn to Community Ventures because he wanted to help a larger number of people and was confident Community Ventures could make that possible. He has over 28 years of experience in housing ,construction and development. He has been married to his wife, Sheila, for 29 years. They have two sons together, Kaman and Braycen. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family exercising, travelling and trying new foods.

Jennifer comes to CV with 15+ years of customer service experience and 1 year of tech support service. While working as an Account Manager for Precision Staffing, she attained a gainful education in troubleshooting and customer assistance. For Jennifer, eHome brings a great work/life balance while fitting her with a team of amazing people all striving for the same purpose. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys being around family and having fun with her children.

Since his college years, Justin has climbed the IT ladder. From humble beginnings at a small computer company in Maysville, KY to server administrator at one of the largest DirecTV installers in the country, to managing the daily IT services here at CV, Justin has done it all! Before CV, Justin worked for the largest installer of DirecTV as IT support for a call center, corporate office, and warehouses, eventually becoming the overnight server and network administrator. In that role, he kept servers up and running doing their updates and software pushes for the end-users while everyone was asleep.

Justin came to Community Ventures, seeing a place where he could use his previous experience to help the organization meet its IT needs. Justin spends much of his free time volunteering with the Russell Theatre in Maysville, KY and with the Mason County High School Band(s). He also enjoys spending time with his dogs and getting out into nature.

Karen has over 25 years in the Financial Industry and has worked in all aspects of the mortgage finance business. She is excited to be part of an organization that works to improve the lives of others and benefits the community. Karen loves her time with her family , pets, boating, snow skiing and horses.

Kimberly has been able to put her experience as an auditor to good use at Community Ventures. Though she doesn’t work directly with clients, she is passionate about working for a company that helps people achieve their dreams. It brings a smile to her face knowing that because of her work, families are finding homes where they can grow and spend quality time together.

Leann originally hails from West Liberty, Kentucky. She earned her Masters’ in Public Administration with a concentration in community development from Eastern Kentucky University, and boasts more than nine years of experience working for nonprofit and government agencies.

Le’Shae is a graduate of Berea College where she learned the value of education, community service, and labor. She has since went on to wear many hats under the marketing umbrella including event planning, digital advertising, and much more. Le’Shae has a heart for marketing strategy specifically for entrepreneurs. When she’s not studying new social media trends, she enjoys teaching her son how to cook healthy foods, meditating, and working out.

A University of Kentucky graduate with a degree in finance and economics and almost 30 years of experience in the financial industry, Lew brings knowledge and expertise to the Homeownership Center as its new director. Lew joined CV to pursue his passion for helping others and improving the channels of financial literacy across the state. Outside of work, Lew enjoys exercising, spending time with family, volunteering at his local church, and cheering on the UK Wildcats. Lew has been married for 30 years and has three boys.

With over 20 years of experience working as an Administrative Assistant at the Executive level, Lisa comes to Community Ventures with a wealth of knowledge and a studied skill set. Having worked for companies such as Lexmark, NGAS Resources, and Kentucky Spirit Health Plan, Lisa is happy to translate her skills to the non-profit sphere; working for a company that is making a difference and helping those who really need it. In her free time, Lisa enjoys scuba diving and spending time with family and her two dogs – Zeus and Athena.

Lynn came out of retirement to join CV in March 2016. She enjoys helping small business owners realize their entrepreneurial dream and create their own future. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with friends.

Miller comes to Community Ventures with over 30 years of experience in business management including the start-up of his own small business. He spent 8 years as a small business consultant and advisor with the Kentucky Small Business Development Center at WKU. Miller specializes in helping entrepreneurs and small business owners start and grow successful small businesses. He has an undergraduate degree from U.K. (Go Cats!) and a Master of Management from Northwestern University.

In his off-time, Miller enjoys reading, traveling, and visiting grandchildren. He has been happily married for 49 years to his high school sweetheart and has three children and 4 grandchildren.

Community Ventures’ nonprofit mission is what drew Mike to the organization. Though he doesn’t work directly with clients, seeing people’s lives change for the better gives him great fulfillment. Off duty, Mike makes it a habit to take an evening stroll with his wife and dogs whenever the weather permits.

Mike joins the Lending team as a Business Development Specialist. Prior to joining Community Ventures, Mike was employed by Whitaker Bank for 26 years, and employed by Community Ventures for 16 years in a different role. In his spare time, he is a musician and avid fisherman.

A Lexington native, Mike came to CV with 18 years of maintenance and repair experience looking to make a difference. In his time at CV, Mike has enjoyed the work he has done and loves everyone he works with! A happy father of four, Mike enjoys playing guitar and sketching when he has free time.

Otis has worked in accounting for over fifteen years. Professionally, he is most passionate about learning new things and passing that knowledge on to others to help them grow. Even though he doesn’t work with clients directly, he likes that his work is indirectly helping people in the community. Outside of work, Otis is all about family. He has three young kids who are actively involved in extracurriculars such as band, scouts, basketball, and dance. Otis also plays the trombone in the UK Alumni Band.

Knowing she can make a difference is why Pam is a part of the Community Ventures team. Pam loves seeing a client finally achieve their dreams and get the funding they need. Her proudest moment was assisting a single mom of 10 purchase a home for her family. An avid cook, Pam also loves to brush up on her culinary skills.

I’m passionate about helping people! In my free time I pursue art and science, and also researching how to make the world a better place.

Phillip has a knack for numbers and wants his contribution to go further than just debits and credits. At Community Ventures, Phillip trains staff in a way that will enable them to live up to their full potential, not only in accounting, but in everyday life. With three very active teenagers, Phillip’s time is spent with his family and wife. If there is any extra time, it is usually spent sleeping or eating!

Phyllis’s life is rich with art, music, and the ability to help people achieve their dreams. She has always had an interest in the “business” of business. Helping those who traditionally slip through the cracks learn about business is what excites her most about being a part of the Community Ventures team. She enjoys celebrating her clients’ victories, whether it is securing a location or paying off their loan early. In her free time, she loves drawing, photography and fashion.

Ron is passionate about helping others institute sound financial practices and organization. He is excited for the opportunity to utilize his financial and sales experience, as well as his marketing knowledge and corporate training and sales management skills to benefit Community Ventures and its clients. With degrees in Accounting and Business Finance, Ron looks forward to using his diverse experience to positively impact the organization.

With 10 years of experience as a self-employed general contractor, Scotty came to CV looking for a job where he could do something different and be appreciated every day. While at CV, Scotty has helped maintain and improve commercial and residential properties throughout the Bluegrass. In his free time, Scotty enjoys being involved in church and spending time with his family.

Stephen started at Mustard Seed Hill in a part time capacity helping manage events, weddings, and Christmas at MSH. After a couple years, he was hired on full time as the Director of Lodging & Special Events Manager. Stephen comes to Community Ventures with over 15 years of customer service experience. Most recently he spent 8 years in student services at the University of Kentucky. He is excited to join the staff at Mustard Seed Hill in their pursuit to increase tourism in central KY, spotlight the historic campus of MSH, and share some KY hospitality with visitors. In his free time, Stephen enjoys cooking, going to as many concerts as he can, traveling, family time, and relaxing with his rescue dog, Bentley.

Since 2012, Susan Lugo has been an integral part of the eHome America team. Helping to create the eHome culture has been a great source of pride for her and she has recently been promoted to Vice President of Customer Relations. Susan wants all partner agencies to feel like more than just business partners, but old friends. She is an avid fan of horror flicks and Kentucky Bourbon

Tammy comes to CV with experience as a licensed real estate broker and residential builder and developer from Western Kentucky. Prior to joining CV, Tammy worked for the Kentucky Department for Local Government as an NSP Advisor where she worked to implement the Community Development Block Grants Kentucky Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Tammy is passionate about helping others and strives to be a positive influence in her work and in her life. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, beekeeping and spending time with family.

Helping clients stay calm during stressful situations is Todd’s forte. He is able to help those who come to Community Ventures find options that will help make their dreams a reality. Helping people who are looking for their perfect home hope gives him a great sense of pride. Todd is passionate about his family and church. When you meet him, be sure to ask about the time he raced elephants or the time he piloted a blimp.

Tracey is an experienced Business Development Specialist (BDS) with over 25 years of experience in customer service, operations management, and establishing effective business networks. Driven by helping others grow & succeed, she takes pride in providing the best client experience possible to ensure her clients understand the importance of proper planning. As a BDS her goals include helping new & existing business owners overcome obstacles, identify opportunities for business growth, and optimizing marketing strategies.

Tracey earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Communications from Western Kentucky University and a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Tracey believes in continuous learning and is always looking to expand her knowledge. When she’s not working, she enjoys cooking, going to the lake in the summer, and hanging with her family & friends.

​With over 20 years of experience in accounting, Tricia most recently worked in the private education sector of the nonprofit industry. In coming to Community Ventures, Tricia is grateful to be working for a company that is making such a positive difference in so many lives. In her free time, she loves photography, spending time with family and friends, and UK basketball.

Excited to be joining community Ventures, Zach brings with him 6 years of working with non-profit organizations. He spent the first 5 years with Better Life Church in various roles, and spent the last year with Frontier Housing as a Housing Counselor. Zach is passionate about helping people get the most out of their lives, and believes homeownership has the potential to not only change lives but families for multiple generations. In his free time, Zach loves spending time with his wife Olivia, talking books and theology with friends, playing golf, and brewing craft coffee from all over the world.

Greg works with businesses needing larger amounts of financing. He has been helping enterprises fund their growth and productivity for more than 30 years with both non profit and for profit lending organizations. His experience and analytical skills provide a strong background for helping entrepreneurs identify and benefit from a wide range of business opportunities. Greg is a KY native with a Bachelor’s degree from VMI and a Master’s degree from UK. Away from work Greg enjoys family time, follows current events and builds gaming computers.
