When former professional athlete Willie Ray ended his playing career, he set out to create a one-stop health and fitness center. Willie Ray’s fitness resume speaks for itself. He has been a competitive body builder, played pro football with the Carolina Panthers, and was a member of USA bobsled team. While he’s no longer training for titles and medals, Willie continues to live and breathe fitness as the owner at No Limits Gym in Lexington, Kentucky.
No Limits Innovative Strength Training is a personal training and fitness gym. Fueled by Willie’s strong athletic background, the gym provides customized fitness training and nutrition services. While many health club memberships tend to be one-size-fits-all, No Limits offers options to fit a member’s needs. No Limits’ approach to functional performance is unique in that it focuses on helping clients create lifestyle changes in order to achieve permanent and lasting results.
Willie Ray came to Community Ventures for a business loan in 2011. At the time, he was operating out of an established local gym, and he wanted to expand his business to an independent location. In January 2013, No Limits Innovative Strength Training celebrated its Grand Opening at the Eastland Shopping Center in Lexington. This facility is the first and only one of its kind in Kentucky, with a holistic approach to fitness. Exercises involve body weight in conjunction with stability balls, dumbbells, and bands as a means to achieve core strength. No Limits also offers customized meal plans based on a client’s
goals of reducing or managing his or her weight.
Since moving to the Eastland Center, No Limits has enjoyed a 95 percent retention rate of its existing client base and a constant influx of new clients visiting the training center. Some of the classes offered are martial arts instruction, personal training, boot camp, kickboxing, and core training.
