- Community Development
In light of the atrocities leading to the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others, Community Ventures must stand with those working for a just and equal society in which all are seen as equal, treated as equal and portrayed as equal. We must not only stand up against the scourge of hatred, bigotry, and racism, but we must also address the systemic injustices that have kept so many African Americans from the promise of equality.
Community Ventures further reaffirms its commitment to demonstrate these values through our community development work. We strive to help bridge the racial wealth divide through homeownership and business ownership, and we continue to support our local, state, and federal partners who join us in that mission.
With this statement of solidarity, Community Ventures will be committing additional resources in the days ahead to its ongoing efforts and the efforts of others with the goal of further advancing economic justice and equality for African Americans throughout Kentucky.
