Aimee comes to CV with over 15 years’ experience in human resources management in the manufacturing and technology industries. Working for a non-profit has always been a dream of her’s and now Aimee is seizing the opportunity by supporting CV employees who help those in the community realize their dreams. In her spare time. Aimee enjoys volunteering with veteran career counseling, cooking for family and friends, and encouraging her nieces and nephews in their various church, school, and sporting events.

It’s all about the clients’ needs, according to Alane. Her nonprofit background shines through when helping her clients achieve their dreams of owning a successful business. She is so proud when they have that “aha!” moment and understand that a business plan is a key to their success. Alane’s passion for social justice and fairness makes her a driving force for Community Ventures.

Anne is a wordsmith who is responsible for a large part of the grants that Community Ventures receives. She has a passion for affordable housing and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.

Robert started his career in economic development, working with microlenders in Mali, West Africa, as a Peace Corp volunteer. Now at Community Ventures, Robert is passionate about helping clients realize their dreams. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family and keeping his kids busy.

Brad comes to the eHome team with 10+ years of customer service experience from a financial and mortgage background. The joy he gets from helping others and his love of all things technical and computer related drives him to excel in his role. When he finds spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son and writing everything from song lyrics to children’s books.

Cathy Allinikov comes from an extensive background in mortgage banking and title insurance industries. She loves working with the CV team; a team she describes as extraordinarily passionate about strengthening the community and helping people realize their dreams. Allinikov is a lifelong equestrian with an emphasis on 3-day eventing, dressage, and Thoroughbred horse racing. She loves spending time with her dogs and is the proud mother of her son, John.

Dan has worked in the private sector, working for large corporations such as MCI and WorldCom. Dan’s passion, however, has been small business. Dan opened his first business at the age of 19 and has owned or been part owner of many successful businesses ever since that time. In recent years, Dan has put his corporate and small business experience to work by consulting for new and existing businesses of all sizes. More recently, Dan utilized his expertise in business startups mentoring and coaching others in realizing the American dream of entrepreneurship. Dan and his wife, Michelle, are the proud parents of two girls and a boy.

Debbie is a driving force in real-estate closings for Community Ventures. She is a problem solver for her clients. Helping families realize their dream of buying a home is her passion. Knowing that borrowers get to purchase a home, especially when they thought they would never own one, is a source of joy for her.

An Eastern Kentucky University graduate born inKentucky but raised in Venezuela, S.A whose native language is Spanish, Francia has worked with the Hispanic community as an interpreter/translator for 15 plus years in the manufacturing business. Francia joined CV to pursue her passion in helping the Hispanic community in making their dreams come true in purchasing their first home and teaching the importance of budgeting, good credit and homeownership. Francia is married and has 3 children, loves photography and enjoys volunteering at her local church.

Dyneece is very proud to say that she works for Community Ventures. She loves coming to work and making a difference in people’s lives. When she can put a smile on someone’s face, it makes her day brighter. Dyneece can’t stop talking about the programs that Community Ventures offers and loves spending time with her family.

Jacinta has over 20 years in the Financial Industry and has worked in all aspects of the mortgage finance business. She chose to come to Community Ventures because she wants to give back to those who are trying to better themselves. In her free time, Jacinta enjoys baking and reading a good book.

Helping others realize that they can become a homeowner is what makes Jackie a passionate Community Ventures team member. She finds sharing moments of joy and satisfaction with her clients to be very humbling. Becoming a grandmother has made a big difference in Jackie’s life, and she enjoys spending time with her grandsons.

Jennifer comes to CV with 15+ years of customer service experience and 1 year of tech support service. While working as an Account Manager for Precision Staffing, she attained a gainful education in troubleshooting and customer assistance. For Jennifer, eHome brings a great work/life balance while fitting her with a team of amazing people all striving for the same purpose. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys being around family and having fun with her children.

Graduating from UK with her Masters of Social Work in Community and Social Development, Jennifer’s prior experience has been primarily in housing development; fundraising and resource growth; as well as community relations. Her background includes working with a startup housing development company as well as extensive volunteer and internship positions in a variety of social service agencies around Lexington. Community Ventures’ commitment to strengthening communities and dedication to improving the quality of life for individuals who lack access to opportunities makes CV the ideal work place for her own professional aspirations. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys live music, supporting local businesses, and exploring new places; all of which she is often accompanied by her dog, Louie.

Jonah brings a diversity of skills and experiences to CV, with backgrounds in higher education, government leadership, and as a former litigation attorney, along with his own entrepreneurial background and mindset. Jonah understands nonprofit markets and the value of marketing but is driven by opportunities to use his creativity to explore new ways to do business. Outside of work, Jonah enjoys traveling with his wife Chioma, and playing with their dog Polo.

As a pastor and Gallup Strengths Coach, “Smitty” became annoyed that work required him to consistently drive out of his community and away from his neighbors. With great timing, Community Ventures offered him the opportunity to narrow his entrepreneurial focus to the East End of Lexington, where his family of five have lived since 2010.

Since his college years, Justin has climbed the IT ladder. From humble beginnings at a small computer company in Maysville, KY to server administrator at one of the largest DirecTV installers in the country, to managing the daily IT services here at CV, Justin has done it all! In his free time, when he isn’t fixing his family’s computer problems, Justin enjoys hiking, running, fishing, and hunting.

Karen has over 25 years in the Financial Industry and has worked in all aspects of the mortgage finance business. She is excited to be part of an organization that works to improve the lives of others and benefits the community. Karen loves her time with her family , pets, boating, snow skiing and horses.

Kim’s favorite part of her job is the excitement first-time homebuyers have once they’ve closed on a home. Her passion is helping clients understand the process of buying a home. In her spare time, Kim spends her time outdoors and is an amateur beekeeper.

Kimberly has been able to put her experience as an auditor to good use at Community Ventures. Though she doesn’t work directly with clients, she is passionate about working for a company that helps people achieve their dreams. It brings a smile to her face knowing that because of her work, families are finding homes where they can grow and spend quality time together.

Kristopher joins the Chef Space team with 22+ years in the hospitality industry and 9 years as the Culinary Arts Instructor at the Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center in Simpsonville, KY. Kristopher has also served as a culinary advocate to his community; implementing the culinary curriculum at Collins High School in Shelbyville, KY. A true & dedicated “foodie”, Kristopher is a father to 4 wonderful children and devoted partner to Adrienne Gay.

A University of Kentucky graduate with a degree in finance and economics and almost 30 years of experience in the financial industry, Lew brings knowledge and expertise to the Homeownership Center as its new director. Lew joined CV to pursue his passion for helping others and improving the channels of financial literacy across the state. Outside of work, Lew enjoys exercising, spending time with family, volunteering at his local church, and cheering on the UK Wildcats. Lew has been married for 30 years and has three boys.

With over 20 years of experience working as an Administrative Assistant at the Executive level, Lisa comes to Community Ventures with a wealth of knowledge and a studied skill set. Having worked for companies such as Lexmark, NGAS Resources, and Kentucky Spirit Health Plan, Lisa is happy to translate her skills to the non-profit sphere; working for a company that is making a difference and helping those who really need it. In her free time, Lisa enjoys scuba diving and spending time with family and her two dogs – Zeus and Athena.

Lynn came out of retirement to join CV in March 2016. She enjoys helping small business owners realize their entrepreneurial dream and create their own future. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with friends.

Margaret helps relieve the anxieties of any client that comes through the door with her signature kind smile and a warm hello. Margaret’s tender heart for people is also evident in her hobby–designing and creating greeting cards.

Ms. Morton has over 21 years of experience in grant writing, funding research, contract management, and program development, serving as grant writer and contract manager for Community Ventures, headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, for nearly 13 years, and as senior grant writer and consultant for Strategic Funding Group, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, for more than 8 years. Since 1995, Ms. Morton has raised more than $80 million with successful grants commitments for nonprofits across the United States from numerous federal, state, and local government, private foundation, and tax credit sources. She has vast experience in developing grants for broad specialized areas, such as economic and community development, homeless and housing, substance abuse and mental health, healthcare, veterans, corrections, youth development, employment and workforce development, and family strengthening programs. Ms. Morton earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Kentucky.

​With over 6 years of experience, Matt has worked in both public accounting and for governmental entities. He is excited to be a part of Community Ventures and work with programs that aim to revitalize our communities and improve the lives of individuals. Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and is a huge fan of UK basketball and football.

Megan comes to CV with 9 years of experience in event planning and coordination. Bringing her clients’ vision of the perfect wedding, corporate retreat, or social gather to life, Megan prides herself on making the planning process fun and seamless so the client can focus on creating memories that last a lifetime.

After recently moving from Chicago back to her hometown of Paris, KY, Megan is thrilled to join the CV team and is looking forward to making an impact in her local community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her three rescue dogs, and cheering on her favorite sports teams! Go Cats!

Michelle’s passion is to help her clients. Being an advocate for those who come to Community Ventures is what excites her about her job. Her skills as a problem solver and listener are why clients enjoy working with her. When she’s not in the office, Michelle loves spending time with her kids.

Community Ventures’ nonprofit mission is what drew Mike to the organization. Though he doesn’t work directly with clients, seeing people’s lives change for the better gives him great fulfillment. Off duty, Mike makes it a habit to take an evening stroll with his wife and dogs whenever the weather permits.

Eleven years ago, Mike began assisting entrepreneurs in achieving their business dreams at Community Ventures. By structuring a project that best suits his clients, he helps them move forward with a business idea. Mike’s proudest moments are when he sees a person he has helped succeed. He is a rock star both in and out of the office and spends his free time playing music or fishing.

A Lexington native, Mike came to CV with 18 years of maintenance and repair experience looking to make a difference. In his time at CV, Mike has enjoyed the work he has done and loves everyone he works with! A happy father of four, Mike enjoys playing guitar and sketching when he has free time.

Myron loves helping clients realize their dream of owning a home, especially for those who thought it wasn’t possible. Myron’s passions are his family and church. He loves building things and often takes on special projects for his family and friends.

Otis has worked in accounting for over fifteen years. Professionally, he is most passionate about learning new things and passing that knowledge on to others to help them grow. Even though he doesn’t work with clients directly, he likes that his work is indirectly helping people in the community. Outside of work, Otis is all about family. He has three young kids who are actively involved in extracurriculars such as band, scouts, basketball, and dance. Otis also plays the trombone in the UK Alumni Band.

Knowing she can make a difference is why Pam is a part of the Community Ventures team. Pam loves seeing a client finally achieve their dreams and get the funding they need. Her proudest moment was assisting a single mom of 10 purchase a home for her family. An avid cook, Pam also loves to brush up on her culinary skills.

Patrice has a background in childhood development, and social services; most recently coming from a domestic violence shelter as a child advocate intern. Shelter gave her the opportunity to see the importance of having a place to call one’s own. Patrice chose Community Ventures in hopes of continuing to provide help in social services by counseling first time homebuyers. Patrice has very little free time due to school (Master of Social Work), but when she is free she loves to travel; having been to about 9 countries in the last two years. She also loves spending time with her four-legged children: Polar (greyhound) and Phe (poodle).

Phillip has a knack for numbers and wants his contribution to go further than just debits and credits. At Community Ventures, Phillip trains staff in a way that will enable them to live up to their full potential, not only in accounting, but in everyday life. With three very active teenagers, Phillip’s time is spent with his family and wife. If there is any extra time, it is usually spent sleeping or eating!

Phyllis’s life is rich with art, music, and the ability to help people achieve their dreams. She has always had an interest in the “business” of business. Helping those who traditionally slip through the cracks learn about business is what excites her most about being a part of the Community Ventures team. She enjoys celebrating her clients’ victories, whether it is securing a location or paying off their loan early. In her free time, she loves drawing, photography and fashion.

From Louisville, Robert is a born and raised Louisville Cardinals fan dedicated to service in the food industry. With three children, Robert is a dedicated father who enjoys playing basketball and acrylic painting. In his free time, Robert also enjoys cooking, especially whipping up a good cheeseburger at home!

Ron is passionate about helping others institute sound financial practices and organization. He is excited for the opportunity to utilize his financial and sales experience, as well as his marketing knowledge and corporate training and sales management skills to benefit Community Ventures and its clients. With degrees in Accounting and Business Finance, Ron looks forward to using his diverse experience to positively impact the organization.

With 10 years of experience as a self-employed general contractor, Scotty came to CV looking for a job where he could do something different and be appreciated every day. While at CV, Scotty has helped maintain and improve commercial and residential properties throughout the Bluegrass. In his free time, Scotty enjoys being involved in church and spending time with his family.

Shane has more than 20 years of experience as a project management consultant, training facilitator and curriculum developer. He previously served as a management consultant for The Leader In You Consulting, LLC. Shane started working for Community Ventures in 2018, and since then, he has helped establish mPact Pro as the premier client management system utilized by HUD approved nonprofit Housing Counseling Agencies in the United States.

Shawn has 20 years of experience working extensively in sales, procurement and operations. His roles have included assisting with the phenomenal growth of Crank and Boom Ice Cream as Director of Sales & Operations, Director of Operations with Aramark Sports & Entertainment, Owner of Techworks - scanning software/consulting company and as the Director of IT/Marketing for a large KY law firm.

His multitude of roles in both product and service industry driven businesses provides valuable insight into the diverse challenges and opportunities for scaling organizations in the Kentucky marketplace.

At Community Ventures, Shawn’s focus is creating revenue opportunities and scaling social entrepreneurship businesses within the organization.

His passion for economically viable, inclusive communities aligns well with the mission of Community Ventures. He believes all members of our communities should have lives enriched with access to education, employment, physical and spiritual wellness.

Since eHome Network was founded in 2012, Susan has been an integral part of the eHome team. Creating some of the processes that are applied in eHome Agency is a great source of pride for her. Susan’s other passions include art and wine tastings. She is also an avid fan of horror flicks.

Helping clients stay calm during stressful situations is Todd’s forte. He is able to help those who come to Community Ventures find options that will help make their dreams a reality. Helping people who are looking for their perfect home hope gives him a great sense of pride. Todd is passionate about his family and church. When you meet him, be sure to ask about the time he raced elephants or the time he piloted a blimp.
